City hotels are 5–15 minutes from the terminal; the lagoon camps are a 20–45 minute drive south along the peninsula, a single desert road with the Atlantic on one side and the lagoon on the other. Your driver takes you to the specific camp, since addresses out here are vague.
Your driver meets you in the small arrivals hall with a name board. City taxis handle the short hop into town, but many will not run the long out-and-back to a distant kite camp for a reasonable fare — which is exactly why the camps recommend a pre-arranged transfer.
For the city a taxi is fine; for the lagoon camps a fixed-price private car is the honest choice, with room for your kit, a driver who knows your camp, and a fare quoted in advance rather than at the roadside. Send the number and size of gear bags and the right vehicle turns up.
