City hotels are 5–15 minutes from the terminal; the lagoon camps are the real journey — a 20–45 minute drive south along the peninsula depending on which camp, on a single desert road with the Atlantic on one side and the lagoon on the other.
Your driver meets you in the small arrivals hall with a name board. City taxis handle the short hop into town, but many will not run the long, out-and-back trip to a distant kite camp for a reasonable price — which is precisely why the camps recommend a pre-arranged transfer.
For the city a taxi is fine; for the lagoon camps a fixed-price private car is the honest choice, because you are paying for a driver who will actually make the peninsula run, knows your camp, and quotes it in advance rather than at the roadside. Tell us your camp name and we drop you at the door.
