The drive is 20–30 minutes into Fes el-Bali or the ville nouvelle. The medina is pedestrian-only, so your driver stops at the closest gate — Bab Bou Jeloud, Bab Rcif or another near your riad — and helps arrange a porter, because those lanes with suitcases are a genuine ordeal.
