The drive & arrival tips
The drive is quick and flat — out of Menara onto Avenue Mohammed VI, past the Menara gardens, and into Gueliz or Hivernage in about 15 minutes, a little longer to the medina ring in traffic. Your driver takes you to the hotel entrance, not a vague drop point.
Meet your driver in the Menara arrivals hall past baggage reclaim; look for your name on the board. The official taxis outside carry no meter and quote a posted-but-negotiable tariff — commonly 150–250 MAD to town by day and more at night, often haggled hard the moment you name a hotel.
For this short run a private sedan is roughly the same price as a day-time grand taxi but fixed in advance, in a newer air-conditioned car, with an English-speaking driver and help for your bags. The gap only widens in your favour after dark, when taxi quotes jump and ours does not.
