Kasbah Taourirt Exterior

Built by the Glaoui family (the powerful Berber lords who controlled the south), the kasbah is a labyrinth of towers, decorative facades, and crenellated walls in pisé (rammed earth). The warm ochre colour changes throughout the day — golden in morning light, deep orange at sunset. The kasbah is large enough that walking around the exterior takes 20 minutes and reveals different angles and architectural details on each side.
Fint Oasis Walk
FREEThe Fint Oasis — a hidden palm grove in a dramatic desert valley 15km south of Ouarzazate — is free to explore on foot. The contrast between the barren desert landscape and the sudden explosion of green palms, flowing water, and cultivated terraces is extraordinary.
