Most visitors who paraglide in Morocco do it as a tandem flight from Aguergour. The launch sits at around 1,200 to 1,300 metres on a ridge in the Atlas foothills, with the High Atlas behind it and the Haouz plain towards Marrakech in front.

Pickup and drive

Briefing and harness

Launch
You run a few steps down the slope with the pilot behind you until the wing lifts you. No experience is needed; the pilot flies.
The flight

Safety Considerations
Confirm the operator is authorised to fly
Rules have changed at short notice: flying was suspended in parts of Morocco in late 2023. Ask the operator whether it is currently permitted to fly at the site you are booked for.
Check the pilot and the insurance
Ask about the pilot’s tandem qualification and experience, and whether the operator carries liability insurance. A good operator will answer plainly.
Expect weather cancellations
Flights depend on wind and thermals. A pilot who postpones because conditions are wrong is being careful, not unreliable.
Ask about age and weight limits
Operators set their own minimum age and weight range for tandem passengers. Confirm both when you book.
Consider your health
