Royal Air Maroc and flydubai operate to Casablanca (CMN) in roughly 6 hours 50 minutes to 7 hours 10 minutes — useful if you plan to start in Casablanca or need a connection to Fes. There are no direct flights from Dubai to Fes, though Air Arabia flies from Sharjah. Time zone difference is just UTC+1 (Morocco) versus UTC+4 (UAE), so jet lag is minimal.

UAE nationals (Emirati passport holders) do not need a visa for Morocco and can stay up to 90 days. Residents of the UAE who hold other nationalities should check their own passport country's arrangement with Morocco — many nationalities, including most GCC nationalities, European passport holders, and US citizens, also enter visa-free. If you live in Sharjah or Abu Dhabi, Air Arabia connects Sharjah to Casablanca and Fes directly. Prices vary considerably — booking 6–8 weeks out typically secures the best fares.

Four days is enough to do Marrakech well without feeling rushed. You can cover the medina, Jemaa el-Fna, the major palaces and gardens in the first day and a half, dedicate half a day to a hammam and souvenir shopping, and use one full day for an Atlas Mountains day trip to Imlil. Alternatively, split your base between Marrakech and Essaouira (2 hours by road) for a contrast of imperial city and windswept Atlantic port. Adding Fes or the Sahara requires at least 7 days, so save those for a longer return trip.

Morocco is a majority Muslim country and halal food is the default in practically every restaurant and market. You will have no difficulty finding halal meat, and pork is generally absent outside of a few international-hotel restaurants. The call to prayer is heard five times a day, mosques are everywhere (non-Muslims cannot enter most interiors, though the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is an exception), and Ramadan is observed publicly. Alcohol is available in licensed hotels and some restaurants, but is easy to avoid. UAE tourists consistently find Morocco one of the most comfortable cultural fits for a short trip abroad.

Marrakech is the clear choice for a 4-day trip from Dubai. It has a direct Emirates flight, the medina is compact enough to explore on foot, and day-trip options — the Atlas Mountains, Ourika Valley, Agafay Desert — add variety without requiring an overnight bag. Casablanca is the other direct-flight option but is primarily a business city; most visitors use it as a transit point to Marrakech or Fes. Fes is outstanding but harder to reach direct from Dubai, so it suits a longer itinerary. Chefchaouen and Essaouira are best added as extensions to a Marrakech base.

A realistic budget for a 4-day trip from Dubai (including return flights, accommodation, activities, and food) runs from approximately AED 2,500 to AED 5,000 per person, depending on your flight choice and riad tier. Booking an Emirates direct flight early and staying in a well-rated medina riad typically places most travellers in the AED 3,000–3,500 range all-in. Private guided experiences — an Atlas day trip, a cooking class, a hammam session — add meaningful cost but are very good value relative to comparable experiences elsewhere.
