Agadir Beach (Plage d'Agadir)
The 9 km crescent of sand is the headline act — and deservedly so. The Atlantic here is significantly calmer than at Essaouira or Taghazout, thanks to a natural bay that cuts the swell. Lifeguards patrol the main stretch from roughly 9 am to 6 pm in peak season. The sand is fine, the water gets to around 22°C by July, and sunbed rental with a parasol runs an indicative 50–80 MAD per pair. The southern end near the Sofitel and Palais des Roses is the quietest; the stretch near the Medina d'Agadir tourist development gets busier but has more cafés within stumbling distance.
Good for: Toddlers, swimmers, non-swimmers
