Riad Suites — Marrakech & Fes Medinas
From ~1,800–6,500 MAD / night (indicative)
A riad suite is built around a central courtyard with a fountain. The best honeymoon rooms sit on the top floor, opening onto a private terrace or roof terrace with views across the ochre rooftops to the Atlas. Expect carved stucco, hand-painted cedar ceilings, zellij-tiled bathrooms, and — in the top tier — a private plunge pool filled with rose petals on arrival.
What to look for
- Private terrace with Atlas or minaret views
- In-room hammam tub or copper bathtub
- Canopied four-poster or platform bed
- Turndown with rose petals and argan oil amenities
- Hammam and couples' massage on request
Where to find them
The northern half of the Marrakech medina (between Bab Doukkala and the Ben Youssef Madrasa) holds the highest concentration of restored honeymoon-calibre riads. In Fes el-Bali, look around the Andalusian quarter near the Bou Inania madrasa for calmer streets and better-preserved courtyard architecture.
