5:00 PM: Arrive in Fes
Arrive in Fes, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. Check into your riad in the Fes el-Bali medina and rest before an evening stroll through the atmospheric alleyways. The medina of Fes is the world's largest car-free urban area with over 9,000 winding streets.

Depart Fes heading north through the Rif Mountains. The drive is approximately 210 km (4 hours). The road winds through spectacular mountain scenery with occasional stops at roadside fruit stands. 11:00 AM: Explore the Blue Medina
