Agadir’s Al Massira Airport (AGA) is the main hub for the surf zone. It receives direct flights from many European cities and is a roughly 20-minute taxi ride from Taghazout. Expect to pay 80–120 MAD (indicative) for a petit taxi to the village; grand taxis can be negotiated for fixed rates if you have boards and gear.
Imsouane sits 60 km north of Agadir along the P8014 coastal road. A grand taxi from Agadir costs around 250–350 MAD per car (indicative). Some surf camps include transfers; otherwise a hired car gives the most flexibility, particularly if you want to score sessions at both Imsouane and Taghazout on the same trip.
Essaouira is 170 km north of Agadir and 190 km west of Marrakech. CTM and Supratours buses connect Marrakech to Essaouira in roughly 2.5–3 hours for around 80–100 MAD. If you are mixing a surf trip with a city base in Marrakech, Essaouira makes for a straightforward day trip — though an overnight in the medina lets you surf the dawn glass-off.
A private guided tour from Agadir to Taghazout, Imsouane or Essaouira is the easiest option if you want a knowledgeable local who knows which break is working on any given day and can handle transport, board hire and accommodation connections without hassle.
