Skoura Palm Grove
Pull off the N10 before Skoura village and follow the dirt track into the palmery. The 19th-century Kasbah Amerhidil sits photogenically at the edge of the grove with its crenellated towers reflected in the irrigation channel — arrive before 8 am and you will often have the reflection shot entirely to yourself. The soft morning light through the palm fronds adds depth that harsh midday sun kills. Budget 45–60 minutes here before the tour buses arrive from Ouarzazate.
- Park at the palmery entrance and walk in — vehicles damage the irrigation berms
- The east-facing tower face is lit from 7–9 am
- Kasbah Amerhidil entry is around 20 MAD (indicative) for interior shots
