Marrakech
The largest pool of options — a handful of boutique riads in the Palmeraie (the quieter palm-grove suburb north of the medina) will accept small to medium dogs if you book directly and ask explicitly. The medina itself is dense, loud and full of street cats; a Palmeraie villa with its own garden is a more comfortable base for a dog.
- Ask for a ground-floor room with direct garden access.
- Many medina riads have narrow tiled corridors and steep stairs — not ideal for large breeds.
- Expect a supplement of 100–250 MAD per night (indicative).
- Palmeraie villas often have walled gardens where dogs can run freely.
